How often had we already to maintain the west-way nr. 455 ? I
assume some dozen times! Perhaps the ways-master has a document
about.
The troublesome work of ways-master "Wegehans" surely sometimes
seems to be grey. But the photo does not really show his frame of
mind. His assistants yet are too beautiful.
Well, hurry up! Put tools and wooden rods on the shoulder and march
up to the west way! Snow and rain and the intense use by hikers let
the way suffer considerably. At least in springtime when the snow
has melted you will see it is necessary to maintain most of the
ways. Over and over again.
All dilligent way maintainers!
But they are pure honorary post workers of our section!
And the most works stay with the groups of our section who are near
the Benediktenwand. All members from outside (there are not little
numbers!) should as often as possible be thankful to those fair
guys.
With these pictures one can easily imagine why our nice friends have to shoulder so many tools and timbers. But when the way is again in order the guys can enjoy their success - in spite of the fact that nobody using the way later will waste one idea of the arduous work but expects an orderly way as a clear rule.
All years again and sometimes still more often maintenance is urgent necessary with the ways our section is responsible for. Snow, rain, storm, and their bad results like broken trees or rockfalls burdens the ways (and the members of our section who do these works as honorary post workers). Here the friends from group Seeshaupt had been at work to maintain the way from swimmingpool Bichl to the Zwiesel summit.

The picture in the middle does not show the Lainbach, although it
seems to be so. This had been the bad results of heavy snow and
rainfalls with one of our ways.
And now in October 2005 we can view the successful maintenance and
what is more be able to hike the way without problems.
